Kilkenny Farm is a working farm close to Leachbrook Covert and Leachbrook Copse. The landowners were keen to plant a shelterbelt on his land to act as a windbreak to protect his livestock and crops. It would also improve biodiversity in a rather open area with few trees, and link the nearby woodlands.

This farmer was very keen to increase biodiversity on his rather exposed farm near Bibury, Gloucestershire and already had several recently planting areas created with the help of others.

Working in collaboration with our friends at The Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group, (FWAG South West) we planted 1138 trees and shrubs to form a shelterbelt on this rather exposed property. In addition to providing a much needed windbreak, the shelterbelt will provide vital wildlife habitat and movement corridors through the landscape.
